For anyone that has suffered from disordered eating, uncontrolled binges, a complicated relationship with food, or has experienced guilt or shame around food or eating, this group is for you!

I have done the work, I have read the material, I have worked with people that have had this same experience, and I have also suffered from many of these issues. After years of engaging with diet after diet, loosing and regaining weight, and generally being unhappy with my body, I decided to take a chance by unrestricting food.  After a lot of research, I found my path with Intuitive Eating.  My success happened as I began to understand my body’s natural ability to provide me with the feedback I needed to understand my hunger and fullness cues.  Relearning these cues marked the beginning of my journey to rebuilding trust in my body and its innate ability to provide me with the necessary feedback to change my relationship with food.  And that was only the beginning.

My decision to begin these wellness groups to help others find their path to overcome disorder eating habits, identify triggers and understand how diet culture has negatively impacted their relationship with not only food, but their body, was the result of encouragement of colleagues and feedback from clients in my private practice that this was an area of need.  

The goal for these groups is to help each person understand that the key to change is identifying your triggers and understanding how diet culture and other influences cause you to engage in habits and behaviors that go against your body’s natural signals for fullness and hunger.  This disconnect can cause harm not only to your relationship with food, but also creates health risks for your body that are associated with yo-yo dieting and the common weight loss weight gain cycle.

In this group, you will find an Unrestricted Path to a happier more fulfilled life is within your grasp.  You will come away from this group feeling empowered.  Not only will you become more confident in identifying your hunger and fullness cues, but you will also be able to identify emotional eating, triggers, and learn effective coping skills to take the place of eating.
